Introduction: SwitchRes lets you save the position of the icons on your desktop, independently, from one resolution to the other, unlike the Finder. The position of the icons is restored at startup. You can also create display set which allows you to change the resolution and the depth of all your monitors with one click. You can assign a specific set to an application so that every time you use this application, your Mac will automatically switch to pre-defined resolutions. SwitchRes is intended for use with Mac OS 8 and above. When an applcation wants a forbidden resolution, SwitchRes tries to find a similar allowed resolution, and it doesn't prevent the resolution change. This new behavior corrects some problems with games using DrawSprockets. A problem that occurs when launching some applications, Type 2 errors, is corrected. The Control Strip Module is simplified, allowing mode compatibility with GoMac and ExtensionsStrip.
