Introduction: Serial Composer is an application which lets the user specify criteria and then searches for 12-tone series that fulfill the specified criteria.Serial Composer can test series for their interval content, components, self-similarity, augmentation, loopability, diatonics and a few other properties.Serial Composer requires a PPC with a system modern enough to have Appearance Manager - and preferably a fast one, since there are up to 39,916,800 series to check.Serial Composer is aimed at composers of modern classical music ("serial music") who might find it useful in searching for series.Serial Composer uses a simple recursion algorithm to wander through the series space, and when it finds a suitable one, it picks it up. Of course, you can save (and open) what you've found.
