Audio Converter Pro allows you to have more control over the conversion. It has all the advantages and features of the standard Audio Converter, with more. You can set the start time and end time for your conversion, eliminating the need for an audio editing software in a lot of cases. Often, you just want to change the file type, so your favorite player software can play it. Your original file type already contains a encoded audio stream which is compatible with your output file type. Why re-encode? Re-encoding always causes some degrading of quality, no matter how good the codec is. Re-multiplex without re-encoding is the best way to keep the original quality, and it is superfast. For example, most DivX files already have the audio encoded with MP3. If you want to convert to MP3, we can simply take the MP3 package from the original file and write to the output file. When you convert from MKV or OGM files, you may have noticed that the file contains multiple audio streams. Audio Converter only convert the first stream. Audio Converter Pro allows you to select the particular stream for the conversion. Requirements: · Pentium III/Celeron CPU of 500 MHz or above. A sound card is required. · It may perform on a PC with lesser spec. · DirectX - River Past Audio Converter requires DirectX 8.0 or above. We strongly recommend that you always use the latest the latest DX (currently 9.0b) because it provides better stability and performance. · WMF - For WMA output, you must have Windows Media Format runtime 9 installed. We provide it in a separate download package. · OGG filters - For OGG Vorbis output, you must have Tobias' OGG Vorbis DirectShow filters installed. Limitations: · As the free trial, it limits the conversion to 2 minutes per file.
