Introduction: Retrospection, a free software program which can be used to capture the computer display much like a VCR/DVR captures video. Retrospection is used to play back recorded activity for those "what did I do to cause this error" situations. In addition to reviewing past activity Retrospection also supports creating AVI movie files so that information can be shared with other interested individuals. Retrospection captures screen activity while not interfering with computer resources. This is accomplished by only capturing activity when there is mouse or keyboard activity and by running as a low priority process. Retrospection is a completely spy-ware and ad-ware free program.
