Introduction: This password security test tool allows Windows NT, 2000, XP and Windows Server 2003-based systems administrators to identify and close security holes in their networks. It executes an audit of account passwords and exposes weaknesses. If a password can be recovered within a reasonable time, it is considered insecure. The software supports obtaining password hashes for further attack or audit from dump files, registry of local computer, binary registry files, memory of local and remote computers, including ones running Active Directory. Brute-force and dictionary attacks on LM and NTLM password hashes are effectively optimized for speed. The product also features a rainbow attack that uses pre-computed hash tables that allow you to find most passwords in a shorter time.
