Introduction: PStill will convert PS/EPS/TIFF/JPEG files to PDF, transcode PDF to PDF and - optional - generate EPS. It can also be used as Windows PDF printer, producing PDF directly from any application - even over the network. Because PStill combines affordable and reliable PDF generation with a rich feature set. The imaging model of PDF is similar to PostScript and the PostScript conversion method of creating PDF offers very good quality - PStill works this way. Also PStill is not only a simple converter but offers features not available in other software. It combines PDF creation with PDF reprocessing and supports N-UP processing, prepress options like CMYK color conversion, spot colors, overprinting control and PDF/X output. The 'virtual print server' feature makes PStill/Win unique, one PStill can be used from several workstations to centralize PDF creation - minimizing total costs and setup efforts.
