Introduction: Gizmo Hasher is a useful program that lets you to calculate hash values (a.k.a. "Message Digests") and compare them using several well-known algorithms. Validate multiple files, an entire CD-ROM, or hard drive. Calculate the whole drive itself, or each file and sub-directory inside it, recursively. Take a snapshot of the files on your drives by creating a Hash Listing, then Validate those listings later to determine which files were altered. Export your Hash Listings to CSV files, for use with Microsoft Excel. Also included is a Windows Shell Extension, which allows you to calculate and compare hash values from the Windows Shell (i.e. Windows Explorer) by right clicking on any file.
