Introduction: Garfield Desktop is a free program that puts the daily Garfield comic strip on your Windows desktop background. It runs as a tray icon. It does not only show the current comic but can also be used to browse past comic strips. To do this, right-click the tray icon and select "more". Viewed comics are cached in folder "garfield" which is located under "My Pictures". The program does not come as an installer. The downloaded file is the main program. After downloading, put it in a folder where you want the program to reside, and run it by double clicking it. It will automatically register as a startup program.
