GT Subset is a desktop utility that allows you to define any relationships required to subset data as well as use existing database constraints. Selection criteria can be added at any level and can be changed at run time. Many DBAs have existing scripts to copy and clone databases. The created scripts can be added into your existing procedures to create test databases. The database extract scripts are generated by GT Subset and can be run in batches using standard MySQL utilities. While building your subsets you can preview data to be extracted as well as validate relationships.
