Introduction: Axiomatic Multi-Platform C (AMPC) is a powerful C compiler suite which generates Java bytecode. AMPC allows users to develop software using the standard C programming language and run the executables on any computer that supports a Java Virtual Machine (JVM). AMPC users are not required to use or learn the Java programming language. Versions of AMPC are available to run under MS Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux (x86). AMPC covers a very large subset of ANSI C (1989). A notable difference is that "double" in AMPC is 32 bits long. In order to utilize 64-bit floating point you can use "DOUBLE". AMPC includes a GUI based integrated development environment (IDE) for fast and organized software project management. The IDE serves as the front end for the whole system and works with the various components of the software to do its job.
