Introduction: Launch or Stop any software on the server/gateway computer by just being on the client computer, without being physically present on the server computer. App Runner allows you to run/stop any application on the remote computer. Using App Runner Client software on the client machines in the network you can launch or stop any application on the server. App Runner is also useful for client computers which have shared Internet access. For example: If you are using ICS or proxy, you can sign-on to AOL or Direcway by running AOL or DirecPC navigator software from any client machine. This is just one of many usage of App Runner. Here are some key features of "App Runner": · App Runner is a tiny client/server application - server is installed in the gateway computer and the client is installed in the client computers. · You can allow and add applications that can be launched and stopped from a client computer. You can add executable (.exe) file and even the shortcut file. · Shows the allowed list of programs that are running on the server computer. Client computers can view this list anytime using App Runner client software. The programs that are running on the server can also be stopped from any client machine. · App Runner client continuously monitors the server for status of the programs - running or not running. · Realtime display of Client connections - Shows the IP addresses of client computers that have established a successful connection to this server. · Option to restrict only a few client computers to access App Runner Server. · Can run automatically everytime Windows starts.
